Honda Motor has unveiled the Civic Si, a more driver-oriented version of the 11th-generation sedan. The car is aimed at the North American market

Externally, the new model is almost indistinguishable from a regular Civic, the most that catches the eye is the spoiler on the trunk lid and the split exhaust. However, the cars are seriously different from each other.  True, in the case of the Civic Si, the modernization did not affect the engine; it has a standard 1.5-liter turbo engine with a capacity of 203 horsepower.

But the Civic Si had a seriously redesigned suspension. Engineers increased the rigidity of the front and rear springs, installed thicker anti-roll bars. The front MacPherson struts received reinforced upper supports to withstand increased loads on turns. Also, the car was equipped with brake discs of a larger diameter – the front ones by 312 millimeters, and the rear ones by 282 millimeters.

And the most expensive Pilot costs 3,814,900 rubles.

Meanwhile, the new model differs from the pre-restyling version with new bumpers and a radiator grille, and the optics, including fog lights, have become fully LED. This is where the list of updates ends. The power unit also remained the same: this is an atmospheric V6 with a volume of 3.0 liters (249 hp), which is supposed to have a 6-range automatic.

We are talking about a 3.5-liter gasoline V6 with a capacity of 285 hp and a torque of 355 Nm. The engine works in tandem with a 10-speed automatic.

As for the design, it was developed exclusively by specialists from the American office of the brand. The exterior of the car is distinguished by an angular silhouette and unusual details, such as a large radiator grille or luggage compartment windows, which are made in the form of separate sections and are not connected to the rest of the glazing line.

Subaru has introduced an updated Forester crossover, which has received both external and technical changes

The Sport version received bronze inserts on the bumpers, sills and exhaust pipes. Light-alloy 19-inch wheels complete the look.

The new multimedia system immediately catches the eye in the cabin. It is made in the form of a vertical screen. The instrument panel is analog, but supplemented by a small “digital” screen. Physical buttons have been preserved almost everywhere. There are two cup holders on the central tunnel.

The premiere of the second-generation Subaru BRZ sports car will take place on November 18. Subaru does not provide new technical details. The BRZ will be unified with the next generation of Toyota GT86. However, information about the platform varies: some sources write that the models will switch to the TNGA modular architecture, on which almost all the latest Toyota models are built, while others say that the GT86/BRZ will use the chassis from the current generation coupe, but in a modernized form.

Subaru will produce the engine for the sports cars: this is a 2.4-liter 260-horsepower “boxer”. It debuted several years ago on the large Subaru Ascent crossover. On it, the internal combustion engine develops 264 hp and 376 Nm.
